Yarmouth standout Sara D’Appolonia became the program’s first player to be named the Maine Gatorade girls’ soccer Player of the Year after leading helping the Clippers to the Class B state title last fall in her junior season. D’Appolonia, who also plays basketball for Yarmouth, will be a senior this fall and hopes to play soccer in college.
