YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth Water District’s new offices will be open to visitors Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at 181 Sligo Road.
Tours will show how the 10,000-square-foot building was designed and built to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design practices. The farmhouse-style building on the banks of the Royal River is the first municipal building in town to earn LEED certification.
The new offices and operating space, which took six years to plan and build, replaces an East Elm Street building that will be the new home of the Yarmouth Historical Society.
