YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth High School Playmakers will debut “Josephine’s Stories,” a student adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s 1902 collection “Just So Stories,” on Wednesday, March 5 at 8 p.m. in the high school’s performing arts center.

The play, adapted for the stage by senior Amelia French and directed by Betsy Puelle, will serve as Yarmouth High School’s entry in the 2014 Maine One-Act Festival. Sophomore Karl Monroe composed its original music. Admission is $5.

Before the performance, the Friends of the Playmakers will host a reception to launch the “Can You Hear Us Now?” fundraising campaign to help provide sound system upgrades for the school’s theater. The reception will begin at 7 p.m. and feature complimentary coffee and desserts.
