Yarmouth Sensei Justin Dawes, 10, was promoted to first degree black belt after a recent tournament in Bucksport, along with Sensei Johnathan MacArthur, who earned his 2nd degree black belt. Dawes and MacArthur were two of 30 Tracy’s Karate-Ju-Jitsu students from the Yarmouth dojo who participated in the 99th Karate Ju-jitsu Tournament. Sensei John Dawes and Zack Worthen won the Best Attitude awards, Justin Hobart and Julia Tracy won the Most Improved awards, Kevin Travers and Tabitha Worthen won the Most Dedicated awards, Gene and Heidi Miller won the Most Supportive Parents award and Sensei Lauren Dawes, Sensei Johnathan MacArthur and Sensei Kristi Sarchi won the Student of the Year awards.
