Yarmouth’s Franz-Peter Jerosch, 13, earned the silver medal in the intermediate men’s division at the recent New England Regional Figure Skating championships in Burlington, Vermont and qualified for the sectionals championship Nov. 18-22 in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Jerosch was third at sectionals a year ago and qualified for the national championships, where he placed eighth. Freeport’s Isabel Peredy, 14, was sixth in her qualifying round at regionals, then came in 12th in the novice ladies championship round. Other local skaters who took part at regionals included Cape Elizabeth’s Patricia Janick, Falmouth’s Ally Huard and Julia Gilman, Freeport’s Tessa Peredy and Veronica Tarr, Portland’s Hope Carroll and Scarborough’s Eden Larsen.
