YARMOUTH — The Police Department on Sept. 19 announced that Sgt. Dan Gallant was promoted to lieutenant.
Gallant succeeds Lt. Dean Perry, who served for 33 years and retired from the department Sept. 14.
Gallant started his law enforcement career in Kennebunk, where he served for four years before joining YPD in 1995. He was promoted to sergeant in 2002.
