9/21 at 10:23 a.m. Zhenquan Wu, 28, of Juniper Ledge, was arrested on Upland Lane by Officer Brian Andreasen on charges of failing to stop for an officer and driving to endanger.

Summonses

9/19 at 8:02 p.m. Daniel F. Poisson Jr., 19, of Gosnold Street, Auburn, was issued a summons on Melissa Drive by Officer Kevin Pedersen on charges of illegal transportation of drugs by a minor and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

9/19 at 8:02 p.m. Courtney T. Strong, 18, of Dee Street, Auburn, was issued a summons on Melissa Drive by Officer Kevin Pedersen on charges of possession of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

Bandit burgles booze in backpack

9/17 at 2 p.m. Lt. Dean Perry said police expect to collar a crook accused of stuffing several bottles of high-end liquor, worth about $680, into a backpack and fleeing the store. Police believe they have identified the man – also well-known to Portland police – through the store’s video surveillance.

Sign of the times

9/21 at 10:56 a.m. Police filed a complaint from a motorist who was upset by graffiti adorning the Exit 15 interchange on Interstate 295. The graffiti, which touts Yarmouth High School’s Class of 2013, was painted last spring and is part of a yearly tradition lasting more than a quarter century, Lt. Dean Perry said. The complainant said he would address the matter with the school principal.
