Arrests

3/17 at 12:45 a.m. Alec Johns Spencer, 25, of Wharf Road, was arrested by Officer Charles Perkins on Spring Street and Route 1 on a charge of operating under the influence.

3/17 at 10:59 a.m. Timothy V. Goodine, 44, of Freeport, was arrested by Officer Paul Martin on charges of burglary of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and theft by receiving stolen property.

Summonses

There were no summonses reported from March 14-20.

Phantom gun shots

3/14 at 12:38 p.m. Police were notified of the sound of gunfire coming from the Pratt’s Brook area. Police responded and did not find anyone with a gun, or anyone injured.

Phantom light

3/17 at 8:05 p.m. A resident of Evergreen Drive contacted police to report a light on at a neighbor’s house who was on vacation. Police checked the house, found nothing amiss, and later discovered the light was left on by the homeowners. 

Phantom child

3/18 at 11:44 a.m. A resident contacted police to report a child’s scooter and helmet were located by the side of the river in Royal River Park, but no child was present. Police arrived to investigate the situation when the child and his mother returned for the scooter.
