1/4 at 7:22 p.m. John MacLean, 49, of Yarmouth, was arrested by Officer Kevin Pedersen on School Street on a charge of criminal operating under the influence.

Rabid raccoon

1/4 at 8:02 a.m. Police were notified of an apparent rabid raccoon on East Elm Street. The Animal Control Officer James E. Morrill took the animal into custody.

Not a food pantry

1/7 at 4:01 p.m. A resident of Red Wagon Drive called police to report the alleged theft of food by a neighbor. The resident also requested a criminal trespass warning. No value was given for the food.
