8/11 at 10 p.m. Jeremy S. Chappelle, 22, of New York, N.Y., was arrested by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Yarmouth Police at Juniper Ledge apartments on a charge of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.


8/14 at 8:29 a.m. Steven Krueger, 59, of Watertown, Mass., was issued a summons by Officer Michael Pierce on Gilman and Princes Point roads on a charge of operating without a license.

Dude, where’s my bag?

8/8 at 3:25 p.m. Police in Freeport found a backpack on Route 1 and after investigation found that it belonged to a Yarmouth resident. The Yarmouth police said they returned the bag to the owner, but not before removing the marijuana found inside first. No one was charged in the incident as police could not prove who the marijuana belonged to.

Case cracked

8/11 at 10 p.m. After a two-week investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Yarmouth Police Department, Jeremy S. Chappelle was arrested at the Juniper Ledge apartments. According to police reports, police seized three baggies with a total weight of 7 ounces of suspected crack cocaine. Police report that when packaged for sale, the estimated street value is about $20,000.
