The Yarmouth 11 and 12-year-old Little League baseball team captured the District 6 championship and is vying for the state of Maine title. Sunday, Yarmouth edged York, 2-1, in its first game of the state tournament in Portland. Yarmouth returns to action Thursday when it faces Old Town in a winner’s bracket game at 5:30 p.m. at Payson Park.
