CAPE ELIZABETH — The Spurwink Rod and Gun Club is hosting a yard sale Saturday, July 12, to raise at least $3,000 for renovations required by the town’s new shooting range ordinance.
The ordinance required the gun club to submit a new site plan to the firing range committee by July 10. Following through with the plan, which requires the club to comply with shot containment and noise abatement, will require funds the club doesn’t have.
“Our plan is to renovate and upgrade,” Tammy Walters, gun club president, said. “We really need quite a bit of money.”
All of the items for sale have been donated by club members. Items for sale include antique tables, puzzles, glassware, books, movies, a wheelbarrow, Christmas decorations, and a new snow blower.
The yard sale will be held on from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Sawyer Road club.
