BATH — The Winter Street Center will host a lecture Sunday, Oct. 17, on how the American kitchen has evolved over the past 400 years.

Nancy Carlisle will draw on the book she recently co-authored with Melinda Nasardinov, “American’s Kitchens,” to describe the social and technological changes that have taken place in the kitchen since the 17th century, and how women’s lives have changed and kitchen work has been transformed.

The 4 p.m. program is free, and refreshments will be served. Call 443-2174 for more information.
