Winter sports fans had plenty of options the past few months. There was ample drama on the hardcourt, ice, mats, slopes, trails, track and in the pool.

Brunswick’s girls’ basketball team made it to the regional final and just missed a trip to states. Morse and Mt. Ararat also made it to the postseason, as did the Brunswick and Hyde boys.

Brunswick’s boys’ indoor track and Morse’s girls’ swim teams won state titles. Several individuals shined in track, swimming and wrestling.

The Brunswick and Mt. Ararat boys’ hockey teams played hard all season, despite falling short of the playoffs.

Harry Smith helped Hyde’s boys’ basketball team reach the Western D semifinals.
