PORTLAND — Wilford H. “Billy” Graham, 65, died suddenly at a Portland hospital June 7.

He was born July 9, 1947, the son of Wilford D. and Virginia Graham.

He held several jobs though out his life, including working at UNUM as a computer analyst and a laborer at Keeley’s Construction. He became an independent building contractor and owned a roofing business. He also served in the U.S. Army as a private first class infantry man and was stationed in Germany from 1964 to 1967.

During his high school years, Graham was involved in track and field and won several trophies. He liked playing chess. He had his own woodworking shop where he continually created detailed furniture in his spare time. Most of all he loved playing ball with his two dogs and always had a cup of coffee in his hand. He will be missed by those who loved him.

Graham is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Graham, of Portland and seven children, including two stepsons.

There will be a private funeral service for immediate friends and family.
