FREEPORT — William A. “Bill” A. Larrabee, 77, died Aug. 6 at Hawthorne House in Freeport.  

Born Oct. 18, 1933, in Topsham, the son of Walter and Margaret Marriner Larrabee, he graduated from Morse High School in 1951 and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1953.  

On Dec. 23, 1956, he married Cynthia Small.  

For several years he worked at Pejepscot Mill as a machine operator, and later on he co-owned and operated C & W Ambulance with his wife for nine years until retiring in 1988.

He was very active in the Topsham community, where he was a part-time police officer, volunteer firefighter and selectman, and was at his best discussing politics. He was also a member of the Topsham Fair Association and the American Legion.    
His wife Cynthia predeceased him on Sept. 10, 2006.   

Surviving are three daughters, Penelope Weingart and husband William of Brunswick, Belinda Pulsifer and husband Gary of Topsham, and Cheri Weber and husband Victor of Fairbanks, Ala., and a son, Shawn Larrabee, and his companion Linda Raymond of Topsham; two brothers, David Larrabee and wife Jeanette of New Hampshire, and Joseph and wife Carol of Topsham; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours were scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11, at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where a funeral service was scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 12.
