SOUTH PORTLAND — WillardFest, a celebration of the Willard Square and Willard Beach neighborhood, returns on Saturday, July 14.
The second annual event includes a 9:30 a.m. community paddle, and a sand castle-building contest from 1-4 p.m., both at Willard Beach.
Willard Square will be closed to traffic from 3-7 p.m. for a block party featuring live music and games, and food from Scratch Baking, Willard Scoops, David’s 388 and 158 Pickett Street Cafe.
Organizers encourage visitors to walk or bicycle to the festival because of limited parking.
