SCARBOROUGH — Construction bids on the $39 million replacement of Wentworth Intermediate School will be opened at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in council chambers at the Municipal Building.
Voters approved the construction bond last November and work on the site of the former Bessworth building is expected to be completed by the beginning of the 2014 school year.
Wentworth Drive in front of Wentworth Intermediate School, which serves third through fifth grades, will become one way leading from Gorham Road, effective Tuesday, Sept. 4.
Drivers using Municipal Drive from Scarborough High School will be required to turn left at the Wentworth Drive intersection and use Quentin Drive to reach Route 114.
