PORTLAND — The West End Neighborhood Association is funding swimming lessons for some students at Reiche Elementary School.

Thanks to money raised by WENA’s WestFest last June, fourth- and fifth-grade students at Reiche have access to swim instruction at the school. The school’s PTO is also funding swim lessons for second- and third-grade students.

Rosanne Graef, WENA president, said it is important for these children to have access to this instruction because everyone who lives near the water should know how to swim.

Those interested in taking advantage of swim lessons at Reiche should call the school at 874-8175.
