Wayne A. Trudell, 64: Loved hunting for secondhand treasures

BRUNSWICK — Wayne A. Trudell, 64, died peacefully at home on Oct. 29.

On Sept. 16, 1946, he was born in Waterville, a son of Doris and Maurice Trudell.

After the family moved to Brunswick, he attended St. John’s School and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1964.

In 1965 he volunteered to serve a tour of duty in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1967.

In 1974 he married Priscilla Bois at St. John’s Church, and raised three children together.

An avid sports fan, he attended every sporting event his children participated in, and followed the Brunswick sports teams, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

He had a passion for yard sales and secondhand stores, where he liked to find secret treasures.

His hobbies included puzzles, birdwatching and photography, and he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife Priscilla; son Travis and his wife Diana, and two daughters, Tracee and Terri; granddaughter Matilda; three brothers, Paul, Peter and David; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, Nov. 3.
