PORTLAND — Walter L. Sanborn, 61, formerly of Westbrook, died Sept. 27.

On May 4, 1948, he was born to Norwood and Waverlet Sanborn.

He was employed by C.N. Brown The Big Apple in Westbrook.

His interests included fresh water fishing and watching the New York Yankees.

He was predeceased by his father Norwood.

Survivors include his mother Waverlet of Westbrook; three daughters, Michelle Sanborn of West Bath, Denise Murphy and her husband Lance of Tekamah, Neb., daughter Alisha and son Timothy Sanborn of Portland; four grandchildren, Ignatius Sanborn, Brandon Murphy, Tyler Murphy and Jacob Murphy; brothers Norwood Jr., and David and sisters Wanda, Wendy, Jody, Vicki, Debbie, and Sandra; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Hobbs Funeral Home, Cottage Road, South Portland
