PORTLAND — The fourth annual Walk to Remember, a fundraiser for the Remembering Darien Foundation, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at Back Cove.
South Portland native Darien Richardson was shot Jan. 8, 2010, at her Portland home, and died from her wounds Feb. 28, 2010. She was 25.
After her death, her family and friends established a foundation in her memory to help victims of violent crimes pay for necessities of life as they recover.
The walk begins at the Preble Street parking lot, and offers prizes for fundraising. For more information, visit rememberingdarien.org
