CAPE ELIZABETH — Up to 800 volunteers are needed for the annual TD Bank Beach to Beacon 10K road race on Aug. 6.
Due to an expanded parking program, 30 volunteers are needed to assist with runner and spectator parking near the start, the finish and in satellite parking lots.
Volunteers are also needed for the Kid’s Fun Run on Friday, Aug., 5 , for the race’s recycling program, registration two days prior to the race, course set-up and break-down, the medical tent and baggage assistance.
Race organizers encourage volunteers to register early for the best job selection, and returning volunteers who wish to work in the same area as in previous years are advised to register by June 17.
Interested volunteers can sign up at beach2beacon.org/VOLUNTEER. Volunteers under age 18 cannot register online and must download an application from the website. For more information call 272-3545.
