BRUNSWICK — Virginia M. Linkovich, 88, died Saturday at Mid Coast Senior Health Care.

She was born in Haverhill, Mass., on Feb. 12, 1925, the daughter of Jacob and Rose Markarian Simonian.

She graduated from Nashua High School with the Class of 1943, and moved to Maine following her marriage to Mike Linkovich on Nov. 24, 1960.

She was employed for 20 years as a secretary at Bowdoin College in the history, economics and government departments.

Linkovich was a member and volunteer of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and of People Plus, where she was actively involved in both the bridge and cribbage groups. She also was a former member of the Brunswick Golf Club, and served on the board of directors of the Stevens Home.

Linkovich is survived by her husband, of Brunswick; two sons, Steven M. Linkovich and his wife Denise, of Groveland, Mass., and Michael J. Linkovich and his wife Francine, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; sister Barbara Vaughan of Edinboro, Pa.; brother Martin Badoian, of Sharon, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Demakis.

A funeral will be held Thursday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 27 Pleasant St., Brunswick.
