YARMOUTH — Veterans Day observances are scheduled in Yarmouth, Falmouth and North Yarmouth on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

American Legion Post 91 will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony at 10 a.m.

The ceremony will take place on the Memorial Green in front of Town Hall on Main Street and will last for about an hour. Following the ceremony, there will be a free meal for veterans at AmVets, 148 North Road.

The ceremony will feature the singing of the national anthem by the Yarmouth High School chorus, and there will be a speech from William Ciciotte, a member of Topsham’s American Legion Post.

There will be 54 flags planted by Boy Scouts Troop 35 on the Memorial Green, each of which will represent a veteran from the Yarmouth area who died either in combat or of natural causes.

Coastal Manor, the nursing home at 20 West Main St., will have its own ceremony at 2 p.m. to honor the eight veterans who live there.
