Some things never change. Martha Veroneau, the erstwhile Waynflete basketball, cross country and lacrosse standout, who just completed her freshman year at Boston College, helped the Eagles club women’s lacrosse team make a run from the No. 15 seed to advance all the way to the national championship game, which they lost, 12-11, to the University of Pittsburgh. It marked the first time in the history of Boston College that a club team reached a championship game. Veroneau is a nursing major.
