BRUNSWICK — Venise “Jackie” Kronstrand, 89, of Brunswick, died Dec. 10, with her children by her side.

Kronstrand was born in Brunswick on Sept. 20, 1925, the daughter of Earl and Alvine (Gaudreau) Leavitt, of Topsham. She attended Brunswick High School and worked for 30 years as a certified nursing assistant at Regional Memorial Hospital in Brunswick.

She loved knitting, solving jigsaw puzzles, and taking trips to Disney World, Amish Country and Hershey Park. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family.

She was predeceased by her ex-husband, E. Arthur Kronstrand, who died in 2003; and two brothers, George Leavitt, of Winslow, and Roland Leavitt, of Topsham.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Lallier, of Brunswick, and a son, Kenneth Kronstrand, of Lisbon, and his wife, Joan. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
