PORTLAND — The public is invited to a free, town hall-style forum on presidential election issues and strategies from 8:30-10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the University of Southern Maine.
Purple Strategies New England partners Patrick Griffin and Jim Demers will host the event at Hannaford Hall, 96 Falmouth St. Griffin is a media consultant who has worked with former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Demers has served in the New Hampshire Legislature and ran unsuccessfully as a Democrat for the U.S. House of Representatives. He and Griffin will be joined by students from USM and other area schools.
The Maine State Chamber of Commerce and Portland Regional Chamber are also event organizers. Pre-registration is available at mainechamber.org or by emailing Amy Downing at adowning@mainechamber.org. Registration the day of the event begins at 8 a.m.
