Two Freeport seniors, James Purdy and Jocelyn Davee, have been invited to the Western Maine Conference Citizenship Banquet next month. Purdy and Davee were chosen for their contributions to their school in the areas of academics, athletics, leadership and citizenship. Purdy was a four-year member of the football team and was named Freeport’s Fall 2010 Male Athlete of the Year by The Forecaster. He hopes to attend Bentley University.

Davee was named Freeport’s Fall 2012 Female Athlete of the Year by The Forecaster. She’s a soccer, basketball and lacrosse player, who also belongs to the National Honor Society and the Youth Advocacy Program and is a peer mentor. She hopes to play soccer in college.
