PORTLAND — The Tuskeegee Airmen, World War II African-American aviators who flew thousands of sorties, will be honored with a historical exhibit this month at the Portland International Jetport.
The opening of the exhibit will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7, as part of a Black History Month celebration. It will also honor Eugene B. Jackson and James A. Sheppard, Tuskeegee Airmen with connections to Maine, with a plaque.
The event takes place in the Jetport Lower Terminal, with seating beginning at 9:30 a.m.
