Falmouth firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Sunday, April 24, around 6 p.m. in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot in West Falmouth. Police Lt. John Kilbride said the operator indicated he activated the truck’s cigaratte lighter before pulling into the parking lot. The truck then burst into flames.

Kilbride said after the truck caught fire, it apparently exploded twice. The fire spread onto nearby grass, but otherwise was contained to the truck. No one was hurt, and traffic was diverted while crews put out the fire.
