PORTLAND — Paving on three major roadways in the city may create traffic delays next week, City Hall spokeswoman Nicole Clegg said Wednesday.

On Monday, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Department of Public Services crews will be paving about a half mile of Ocean Avenue, between Ashley Lane and the Falmouth town line. As a result, this section of the avenue will be open only to northbound traffic, while southbound traffic is detoured to Presumpscot Street.

On Monday and Tuesday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day, crews will pave Baxter Boulevard between Vannah Avenue and Dartmouth Street. Traffic flow along this portion of the boulevard will be reduced to one lane, with alternating travel.

On Tuesday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day, milling and paving will be underway on Park Avenue between Forest Avenue and State Street. Traffic along the two blocks will be reduced from two lanes to one lane in each direction.
