PORTLAND — The delivery of additional deck panels will restrict traffic to one alternating lane on the Martin’s Point Bridge from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.
Travelers who use the bridge, which carries traffic over the Presumpscot River between Veranda Street and U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth, should expect delays, the DOT said Monday in a press release.
A new bridge, which is being built adjacent to the existing bridge, is expected to be open to traffic in the first quarter of 2014.
