Christmas came early this year for more than 100 youngsters at the Boys and Girls Club in South Portland, thanks to the efforts of dedicated volunteers from the Thornton Heights Lions Club, the South Portland Lions Club and the South Portland Patrolmen’s Association. Working together, the groups raised more than $3000 to buy gifts which were distributed at a holiday party Dec. 23. Rome Euri, Tyler Campbell and Aaron Cram contemplate a selection during the give-away.
