TOPSHAM — A “Solarize Midcoast Maine” launch event will be held at the Topsham Public Library Tuesday, March 22.
The free, public event at 25 Foreside Road will run from 6-8 p.m.
The Midcoast Economic Development District has chosen Sundog Solar, a Searsport business, to run “Solarize Midcoast Maine,” a regional solar bulk-purchasing program. Solar electric systems will be made available to homeowners and businesses in 20 communities, from Cumberland County north to Waldo County.
The Solarize program encourages participation from communities to achieve the best pricing options, streamline the solar purchasing process, and helping to boost renewable energy in Maine. The program enrollment period runs through June 30.
