TOPSHAM — Police are investigating an apparent suicide that occurred Sunday, March 10, when the body of a 55-year-old Topsham man was found on rocks beneath the Frank J. Wood Bridge.
Police were informed about the discovery of the body of Winter Street resident Douglas Palmer at about 2:40 p.m. They said he is believed to have jumped early that morning from the bridge, which spans the Androscoggin River between Topsham and Brunswick.
