The wintry twilight of Friday, Dec. 5, was brought to life in South Portland’s Mill Creek Park as the annual HolidayFest and tree lighting dazzled celebrants with lights, music, food, Sant, and horse-drawn wagon rides around the park.
The traditional event was sponsored by the city of South Portland, the South Portland School Department, the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Community Chamber, the Waterfront Market Association and the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Rotary.
Our favorite emcee, MPBN’s Jennifer Rooks, along with choral students from Mahoney Middle School, Memorial Middle School and South Portland High School, held court in the gazebo as the switch was thrown illuminating every tree in the park with “green” LED lights.
Individual members of the Waterfront Market Association and the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Community Chamber donated their time and energy to produce another treasured seasonal family event.
Thank you to all for your contributions and participation.
