HARPSWELL — Timothy W. Furbish, 68, died Dec. 5, at Mid Coast Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1944, in Brunswick, the son of the late Melvin “Bud” Furbish and Dorothy Furbish. 

Furbish attended schools in the Topsham area as a child, and graduated Brunswick High School in 1962. He then worked in the carpenter shop at Bath Iron Works for 21 plus years and retired in the 2003.

He was a member of the Sabasco Church of the Nazarene and loved to help there in what ever way he could. He will be remembered for his huge smile.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Furbish, of Harpswell; his mother, Dorothy Furbish, of Topsham; a brother, Randall Furbish, of Litchfield; a daughter, Melanie Bootz of Cocoa, Fla.; a stepson, Joseph Warren, of Harpswell; and three grandchildren, Andrew and Emily, of Cocoa, Fla., and Mason Warren, of Harpswell.

He was predeceased by his father; a brother, Sheldon Furbish, of Topsham; and a brother, Gary Furbish, also of Topsham.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to Sabasco Church of the Nazarene, Sabasco.

A funeral was held Dec. 10 at Brackett Funeral Home in Brunswick, with Pastor Wes Murphy officiating.
