PORTLAND — Frigid weather has arrived just in time for Portland on Ice, the city’s celebration of winter that runs from Friday through Feb. 2.
This year’s celebration begins with the Portland Harbor Hotel Ice Bar. It also features a new music event called Strike a Chord, an interactive music exhibit at the Asylum, 121 Center St., from noon-6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. Strike a Chord features exhibits from local studios, labels, musicians, photographers and more.
In addition to the ice bar and Strike a Chord, the week will be filled with gallery and museum exhibits, Portland Pirates games and discounts at local restaurants and bars.
