YARMOUTH — The Yarmouth Education Foundation is preparing for it’s biggest fundraising event of the year, the Blue Jean Ball.

The 8th annual dance will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at AMVETS on North Road and will include a silent auction, refreshments, and music by The Loose Threads.

Tickets can be purchased at yefbluejeanball.eventbrite.com. General admission costs $50; school employees can purchase tickets for $35. Host Committee packages, which include two tickets and two drink vouchers, are available for $250.

YEF is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that raises money to provide grants to Yarmouth schools, and to fund projects that fall outside of the school budget. The organization has two grant cycles each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The foundation has awarded more than $250,000 to Yarmouth schools in recent years.
