BATH — Thomas J. Stegemoller, 42, died unexpectedly at home May 8.

Born in Brunswick on Feb. 21, 1968, a son of Bruce E. and Louise R. LaVallee Stegemoller, he grew up in Bath, graduating from Morse High School in 1986.

After graduating from Southern Maine Technical Institute with a degree in culinary arts, he worked as a chef in the Bath-Brunswick area for several years, prior to developing health problems.

He was an avid Patriots fan, and enjoyed reading, movies, and visiting amusement parks.

He was predeceased by his mother in 1998.

Surviving are his sister, Tina L. Goodman and her husband Bruce of Brunswick, and a brother, Russell K. Stegemoller and his wife Stacey of Black River, N.Y.; a niece, Brittany Stegemoller, and two nephews, Sean Stegemoller and Zachary Stegemoller; several aunts and uncles; and special cousins, Christopher Cromwell, Dylan Cromwell, Ashley Cromwell and Nicholas Boom.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 13 at Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing St., Brunswick.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, May 14 at All Saint’s Parish, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Pleasant St., Brunswick.
