BRUNSWICK — Theresa S. Harrington, 69, died unexpectedly July 15 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

Harrington was born in Portland on April 8, 1943, a daughter of Roland A. and Sophie Marie Richard Poliquin, Sr. She attended Bowdoin schools and St. John’s School.

She married Wilfred J. Harrington on August 20, 1960. After living in Topsham, they moved to Bowdoin and lived there for 43 years.

Harrington was a homemaker and also worked at Freeport Shoe, Eastland Shoe, Parkview Hospital and Bowdoin College.

Harrington enjoyed cooking, family genealogy and day trips with her husband. She loved Elvis Presley music, movies and memorabilia. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Bowdoin Center Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her husband; two sons, Wilfred J. Harrington, Jr. and Mark Harrington; two brothers, Leo Poliquin and Michael Poliquin; and a sister, Cecile King.

She is survived by daughter Joanne Campbell and her husband, Marty, of Lisbon; daughter Kathy Decker and her husband, Jim, of Bowdoin; brother Roland Poliquin Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Topsham; brother Richard Poliquin, of Brunswick; brother Gerard Poliquin and his wife, Suzanne, of Brunswick; a sister, Irene Berube, of Meriden, Conn.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on July 19 at 11 a.m., at the Bowdoin Center Baptist Church, led by Pastor Eric Anderson. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery in Topsham.
