The closing highlight of Monday’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education graduation at Wentworth Intermediate School in Scarborough was a song and rap presentation by a group of fifth-graders called the I Will DARE Rappers, conducted by teacher Rachel Domin. Parents packed the gym for the ceremony, which began with a reading of essays by five students. Scarborough Police Officers Joe Giacomantonio and Rob Pellerin serve as local instructors for DARE with the mission of teaching kids how to resist peer pressure and the benefits of living a drug- and violence-free life.
