FALMOUTH — Susan Elaine French-Brown, 52, died unexpectedly May 10 at home.

She was born March 27, 1962, in Portland to Bruce L. and Alona R. French. She grew up in Falmouth and attended Falmouth High School.

She enjoyed the outdoors. Family boating and camping traditions held many happy memories. She especially loved Christmas. More than all, she loved her children and she felt they were her greatest accomplishment in life. She often commented about the contentment and pride she felt at the wonderful and amazing people they had become.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Alan Brown; her children, Candace Wells, Matthew Wells, of Standish, and James French, of Biddeford; stepchildren, Alan Gray, of Saco, Steven Gray, of Springvale, Jennifer Brown, of Westbrook, Justin Brown, of Buxton and their spouses; eleven grandchildren, Kaleb, Italia, Josh, Cody, Dale, Kylie, Tiffany, Connor, Dawson, Mason, Emma and was awaiting the arrival of another granddaughter, Lillie, due in July; two sisters, Colleen Moreshead, of Windham, and Pat Eaton, of Trenton; three nieces, Elizabeth, Ashley and Amber; one nephew, Peter; many cousins; and her beloved dog, Snickers.

A time of gathering and celebration of her life will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth.
