BATH — The state Department of Economic and Community Development and the Midcoast Council of Governments is surveying residents and business owners to rate the region as a place to work and live, and to see what changes the respondents would recommend.

The survey, sponsored in-part by the Lincoln County Economic Development Office, is being sent to hundreds of members of several regional chambers of commerce and business associations. It can be accessed anonymously at www.surveymonkey.com/s/publicresearch.

The results of the survey will be used to help develop an outreach communications program with a brand for the region, and a web site. The intent is to attract, retain and expand businesses and jobs for 33 towns in Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties, plus the towns of Brunswick and Harpswell.
