SCARBOROUGH — The annual SummerFest returns to the high school sports complex on Friday, Aug. 15.

The free festival begins at 4 p.m. with food, entertainment and family activities, including a magic show from 5-5:45 p.m., a dunk tank, pony rides, carnival games, raffles and information booths staffed by local businesses and nonprofit organizations. 

A one-mile kids’ race begins at 6 p.m., and an adult 5K race begins at 6:30 p.m. Registration for the races starts at 4 p.m. at the tennis courts and cuts off at 6 p.m. 

The Rock Bottom Band performs from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and as always, SummerFest ends with a fireworks show beginning at 9:15 p.m.
