PORTLAND — Summer meal sites are now openacross the city.

Sponsored by the Portland Public Schools and The Opportunity Alliance, the free meals program is open to all children 18 and younger. The goal is to ensure students don’t go hungry during the summer, when schools are closed.

Meals are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact the site directly for more information about when meals are offered.

Summer meals are offered at the East End Community School; Front Street Community Center; North Deering Gardens; Ocean Avenue Elementary School; Riverton Community Center; Sagamore Community Center; Lyman Moore Middle School; Deering Oaks Park; Deering High School; Portland High School; Reiche Elementary School; Kennedy Park Community Center; Munjoy South Playground; Unity Village Community Center, and the downtown YMCA.
