TOPSHAM — A summer of adventure and entertainment organized by Topsham Public Library and the Parks and Recreation Department wraps up next month in the Highlands Room of the library at 25 Foreside Road.

The 98-minute movie “Race to Witch Mountain” will be screened at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6. Farmer Minor and his pig, Daisy, will swing by at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, for an event appropriately called “Pig Out for Reading.” All ages are welcome. Both programs are first-come, first-served, and space is limited to 100 people.

Tony Sohns will discuss life on Earth at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, for all ages. He will then move onto Geology Rocks at 1 p.m., a presentation geared toward grades 3 and higher. Pre-registration is required; call the library at 725-1727 to reserve a space or for more information.
