PORTLAND — Three groups are partnering up to provide gently worn men’s suits to job seekers.
Men’s Warehouse, Creative Work Systems and Career Centers of Maine will distribute more than 100 suits on Oct. 25 to “disadvantaged job seekers,” the group said in a press release.
The effort is part of the National Suit Drive, which seeks to outfit the unemployed to give them more confidence in job interviews. Last year, 49 Portland-area men benefited.
Top receive a suit, men need to be referred by the staff at either the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Community Rehabilitation providers or the Career Center.
Tailors will be at the giveaway, taking place at the Career Center on Lancaster Street, to fit the suits.
