SOUTH PORTLAND — The Rotary Club of South Portland Sunrise, in collaboration with Shaw’s Supermarkets and the South Portland Housing Authority, invites the public to help stuff a bus with donations to the South Portland Food Cupboard.
The bus will be parked outside the Shaw’s Mill Creek store, 180 Waterman Drive, Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Donors are asked to contribute non-perishable food items, including canned fruits, vegetables and soups; pasta; coffee; peanut butter, and tuna. Cash and grocery gift cards will also be accepted.
All contributions benefit the South Portland Food Cupboard, at 130 Thadeus St., which serves families and individuals from throughout the city, Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth.
Donations will also be accepted before Feb. 22 at the South Portland Housing Authority, 100 Waterman Drive, during normal business hours.
